Barry Mill

A 19th century meal mill, near Carnoustie, Angus, with water wheel and machinery still in working order, though nowadays, only for demonstration purposes. There is a lovely walk by the mill stream too.

Wow...talk about a place where time seems to have come to a gentle, hushed stop. Was it as still here as it looks?

So many shades of green in the foliage...so many shades of stony red in the mill...and the dappled brown of the slate (is it?) roof, flecked with moss...what a colorful scene.

I am insanely jealous that its scenes like this that await you on your walks! I love getting to see them through your lens, though...certainly the next best thing to being there. :)

XX Big hugs,
